ZINSOLAR ENGINEERING HIGHLIGHTS SARAWAK’S CLEAN ENERGY POTENTIAL AT THE SUSTAINABLE TECHNOLOGIST THINK TANK SEMINAR 2025

Zinsolar Engineering Sdn Bhd was proud to be part of the Sarawak Sustainable Technologist Think Tank Seminar 2025, held on 5th May 2025 at the JKR Sarawak Research Centre. The seminar, organised by the Technological Association Malaysia (Sarawak Branch) in collaboration with JKR Sarawak, served as a dynamic platform for stakeholders across industry, academia, and government to convene and exchange progressive ideas on
Sarawak’s sustainable development agenda.

Among the key highlights of the seminar was “Solar-Powered Infrastructure: Driving Sarawak’s Green Technology Revolution”, presented by Mr. Zinu Asui, Founder and Chief Sales Officer of Zinsolar Engineering Sdn Bhd, alongside Ts. Mohamad Aidin Faiz, Technical Advisor. The session underscored the growing importance of solar energy solutions in accelerating Sarawak’s low-carbon transition, in line with the Post-COVID-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030 and the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR).

Mr. Zinu Asui presented Zinsolar’s mission as a homegrown EPCC provider committed to delivering affordable, reliable, and socially impactful solar solutions. He shared the company’s expanding project portfolio, which includes residential, commercial, and industrial solar PV systems across the state. Through strategic partnerships and technical innovation, Zinsolar is positioning itself as a key enabler in Sarawak’s green energy transformation.

The presentation also addressed actionable pathways to scale solar deployment in Sarawak, including policy alignment, infrastructure integration, and public-private collaboration—especially with agencies like Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) and JKR Sarawak. Ts. Mohamad Aidin Faiz complemented this discussion by highlighting real-world solar applications such as rural off-grid systems, rooftop PV for schools and government
buildings, and NEM-based initiatives, all of which Zinsolar has actively contributed to.

Other sessions throughout the day covered sustainable engineering practices, urban mobility solutions through the Kuching Urban Transportation System (KUTS ART), and geotechnical innovations—all with a central focus on environmental responsibility and technological resilience.

As a Sarawak-based renewable energy enterprise, Zinsolar Engineering is honored to contribute to conversations that shape policy, spark innovation, and strengthen Sarawak’s leadership in sustainable development.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Technological Association Malaysia (Sarawak Branch) and JKR Sarawak for organising this impactful seminar, and to all stakeholders who participated in making the event a success.

Zinsolar Engineering remains committed to powering a cleaner, brighter future for Sarawak—one solar solution at a time.
